Dyed and Printed Clothes for my wee one
My wee one is not so "wee" anymore. Max has outgrown the first bunch of dyed/printed onsies. We're onto the next set. This are better for Fall/Winter time anyway! Hope he likes them!
The above are 2 more Composition Books and covers I just finished. They head to First Street Gallery, Neptune Beach, Florida for the Christmas season! I figured out a way to do my "art" while stitching up a craft item.

Latest Studio Work
I saw a great leaf wreath (what a mouthful) the other day on one of the many blogs I visit and came up with this one. I added paint to leaves I already printed and stitched for earlier projects. I wanted more fall-like colors. I hot glued them on an embroidery hoop and voila! a Fall wreath! I'm tickled to use up some of those leftover leaves.
The First Street Gallery, Neptune Beach, Florida, sells my composition book and covers. So I painted, collaged and stitched the above plus a few more that look similar. Off they go to the gallery!

New Book Covers
First Street Gallery, Neptune Beach, Florida wanted me to make some composition book covers with palm trees and sea turtles. So I did. Most of these are painted recycled art quilts with fabric collage. I used images of my original art quilts as a focal points. There's one that I spray painted in layers on canvas and added some collaged elements.

On to Houston!!!!
A pair of sisters are heading to Houston's International Quilt Festival. My friend, Nancy, and I are meeting her sister, Jeanette who lives in Houston and my sister, Marlene, who is flying in Houston. And am I ever excited. This is my first time!
Images: the surfer dude is my fabric take of papier mache. I assisted with a children's class. I found the drift wood and ended up making a surfer! And I loved the process. Loved it so much I've made another - a lady this time - no picture yet, I'm afraid. The other image is examples of memo pad covers. I have more planned. I enjoy making these bits of fiber art!!!!! And hope they sell at the upcoming Christmas show.
That's all for now. On to Houston I go

Book Covers
Been making datebook, journal, composition book covers. Most I've used machine needle felting along with machine stitching to finish them up. I've come up with a pattern - a way that I like the finished product to be. Took awhile but I like the finished look. My plan is to offer these as great Christmas gifts at the upcoming Christmas Art and Craft Show in Columbia, SC.
